Fixed static braces
Fixed braces are the best known representative of orthodonthics apparatus. They are consisting of metallic or ceramic locks glued fixedly on teeth from outside and also wire, which is held in locks by coloured or colorless rubber bands. Fixed braces allow us to treat wide spectrum of orthodontic defects effectively and when it comes to modern braces, they are the most affordable financially. A slight disadvantage is less comfort and necessity of very sensible oral hygiene. The ceramic variant of fixed braces is – in comparison to metallic one – significantly less visible.

FIXED BRACES CERAMIC
Self-ligating braces Damon are type of fixed braces, where wire isn’t held in locks by rubber bands, so wire could be moved inside the locks more freely. Treatment with self-ligating braces is less painful but also faster. The control of apparatus is more comfortable for both sides. There are Damon locks in both metallic and ceramic variation available. Thanks to absence of rubber bands, you don’t have to be afraid of their unwanted colouring between the single control visits and braces are also easier to clean.
Invisible braces Invisalign. Currently one of the most popular braces, which are liked by patients especially for their high level of comfort and also painlessness. System consists series of transparent foils, which could be took off or put on. Single foil is worn for approximately 10 days and then is followed by next one, which moves the teeth a little further. Except the easy toothbrushing, you also don’t have to limit yourself in case of food. From aesthetics, comfort and functional point of view, invisible braces are uncompromising variant to fixed ones.
Inner lingual braces are invisible alternative to classic form of fixed braces. Lingual braces are attached to teeth from inner side of mouth, so they are not visible from outside. But in comparison to classic braces and Invisalign variant, they are less comfortable and also could rub patient into the tongue. Another disadvantage is difficult oral hygiene thanks to not-optimal accessibility of inner side of teeth. Higher costs on braces production, including longer control visits, make lingual braces the most expensive variation of orthodontic treatment.
Duration of treatment is one of the last problems to be solved within the orthodontic treatment. The standard treatment encounters so called biological limits of organism, which are not allowing us to move with teeth faster, than organism let us. Many patients are dissuaded from imagining the 2-3 years of braces wearing, so it easily comes the reason why patients don’t undergo the orthodontic treatment at all. Accelerated orthodontics makes possible to reduce the time of treatment up to 50%. We are offering three different methods: (1) non-invasive vibratory device Acceledent, which is put into the mouth for several minutes daily, (2) injection of plasma – PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) derived from your blood and (3) in specifical cases also so called corticotomy, at which surgeon make inclision on the bone between the roots of the teeth.
Some of the more complicated jaws defects cannot be fixed by braces only and there is a need of orthodontist and orthogonal surgeon cooperation. Within this «combination» treatment, the patient undergoes also so called orthogonal operation, in which the surgeon moves with the upper, lower or both jaws, by a predefined plan in complete anesthesia. Except the straight teeth, result includes also distinctive look of the face. There are currently two methods, which differs in timing of orthogonal operation. In standard process, teeth are getting straight first and the patient undergoes the operation after. But there is also more modern way called „Surgery First“, where patient undergoes the operation first and then orthodontic treatment follows.
